Course of Oral Culture and Compilation of Folklore Products-1

In order to research and collect Kurdish folklore materials with scientific methods our foundation organized a three – week course in February and March 2017. In these trainings experts in folklore gave various lectures on topics such as the history of Kurdish folklore research, Kurdish phonology, fieldwork methods, writing of compilations, differences between written language and spoken language to a group of twenty participants. It was a very successful process. After the course the trainees who would do field studies were assisted by both a consultant and technical support. Moreover the trainees were also provided with a suitable environment by given a room in the foundation to use as a library and workplace for folklore Works.
